Release Letter - June 2018
Release letter June 2018
General
Summer is upon us and we hope you are reading this release letter under a parasol with a cool drink in your hand :-)A lot of our development focus is right now on GDPR and information security. It is an extremely important area and we find that it is totally worthwhile to set new cool features on hold for a spell, so that we can become even better at keeping your data secure and compliant with the regulations of GDPR. Having said that, we do have some features and improvements to release. Check out the details below.
*NOT IN THE RELEASE 27/6*Differentiated deletion of Call Recordings
Since the introduction of GDPR, some of you have asked us about deletion of the audio files kept from the recorded conversations. Storing these recordings under the regulations of GDPR has been on debate for some time now and there are quite a few different interpretations. In order to comply to any interpretation, we have designed a solution where you can choose to automatically delete recordings older than a date that you configure. If you find it necessary, you can also differentiate the deletion times based on Success/Non-success and Full/partial recording. This should cover all possible deletion scenarios.
Improved Change log
Last release, we introduced the change log where changes to for example Leads and Campaigns are logged. With this improvement you will also see changes to the auto deletion rules. This means that you can now see exactly when a change took place and by whom it was made.
Merge unique identifiers in data fields
When you are integrating to external systems, it can be absolutely crucial to have a lead identifier where you know for certain that you have the right lead from the right campaign. In this release we open to new merge fields: “unique Lead ID” and “unique Campaign ID”. Simply use the variables {campaign.uniqueid} and {lead.system.uniqueid}
Tervetuloa, Suomi!
As Hero is introduced in Finland this summer, we have translated the almost 4000 various texts in Hero Outbound to Finnish. You’ll find the language settings under your user’s general settings and, as I’m sure you know by now, the settings are personal and apply to your user only.
Improvements to the API
We’ve made 3 additions to the API:
- You can now get Pause time per agent exported through the API. “GET /organizationalunits/pauses”
- You can get the name of the call recordings exported from the API.GET /calls/{uniqueId}/recordings
- You can now get aggregated Pause times per agent via the API.GET /organizationalunits/pauses
For further details on these additions, please check the API-documentation
*NOT IN THE RELEASE 27/6*Synchronisation with external calendars
This has been requested by pretty much all of you bookers out there for some time now. Now it is here!In order to cover as many different scenarios and calendar types as possible, we chose to integrate via “CalDAV” (a generic protocol for synchronising calendars across systems). There are plenty of integrators and ready made plug-ins for example to Ms Outlook and Google Calendar. You’ll also find lots of tips and tricks on the internet and we have made our own detailed description of this feature. You’ll find it on our Help Portal.
